New data by Father Melvin

We have another snow and ice storm today Saturday but I hope it will not last long and I hope we do not lose electricity again. My brother-in-law is going down every day and I ask you all to pray for him every day. I went to see him today.

The Feeding of the Five Thousand

A reading from the Gospel of Saint Matthew 14, 13-22:

When Jesus heard of it, he withdrew in a boat to a deserted place by himself. The crowds heard of this and followed him on foot from their towns. When he disembarked and saw the vast crowd, his heart was moved with pity for them, and he cured their sick. When it was evening, the disciples approached him and said, “This is a deserted place and it is already late; dismiss the crowds so that they can go to the villages, and buy food for themselves.” Jesus said to them, “There is no need for them to go away; give them some food yourselves.” But they said to him, “Five loaves and two fish are all we have here.” Then he said, “Bring them here to me,” and he ordered the crowds to sit down on the grass. Taking the five loaves and the two fish, and looking up to heaven, he said the blessing, broke the loaves and gave them to the disciples, who in turn gave them to the crowds. They all ate and were satisfied, and they picked up the fragments left over–twelve wicker baskets full. Those who ate were about five thousand men, not counting women and children.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,

“I bless you My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters who follow Me. One day I went into the desert and a large crowd of people followed Me. I healed the sick and I spoke to the people. It was evening when My Apostles came to Me to ask Me to send the people home so that they can find some food to eat. Instead I told them to feed the people themselves. They had five loaves of bread and two fish. They brought these to Me and I blessed them and divided them for the Apostles to spread the food to the people. All the people ate their full and when the fragments were picked up, they filled twelve baskets. This was another miracle I did which is called the multiplication of the loaves and fish. It reminded the people of what My Heavenly Father had done when the Jews were in the desert for 40 years. He gave them manna to eat. This miracle should be meaningful for all Christians because at the Last Supper I changed the bread and wine into My Body and Blood and gave My Body and Blood to My Apostles to eat and drink. Today at every Holy Mass, you can come forward and receive Me under the species of bread and wine. You can receive Me only under the species of bread for I am alive in the host with My Body and Blood. This is the greatest gift you can receive from Me today. It is My desire to come and live in your heart through the Eucharist. I love you all.”
