New data by Father Melvin

It was cold again, today Monday, and we had rain. The sun did come out early in the morning but then the clouds came. I hope we will have sunshine tomorrow.

PS I am praying everyday for those who do not believe. These cannot pray for themselves as they have no faith. So we have to pray for them that the Lord gives them this special gift so they can believe in Jesus and do all that Jesus has told us to do. In this way they will be His special friends. I thank the Lord for you all.

The Parable of the Talents

A reading from the Gospel of Saint Matthew 25, 14-30:

Jesus said, “It will be as when a man who was going on a journey called in his servants and entrusted his possessions to them. To one he gave five talents, to another two, to a third, one–to each according to his ability. Then he went away. Immediately the one who received five talents went and traded with them, and made another five. Likewise, the one who received two made another two. But the man who received one went off and dug a hole in the ground and buried his master's money. After a long time the master of those servants came back and settled accounts with them. The one who had received five talents came forward bringing the additional five. He said, 'Master, you gave me five talents. See, I have made five more.' His master said to him, 'Well done, my good and faithful servant. Since you were faithful in small matters, I will give you great responsibilities. Come, share your master's joy.' Then the one who had received two talents also came forward and said, 'Master, you gave me two talents. See, I have made two more.' His master said to him, 'Well done, my good and faithful servant. Since you were faithful in small matters, I will give your great responsibilities. Come, share your master's joy.' Then the one who had received the one talent came forward and said, 'Master, I knew you were a demanding person, harvesting where you did not plant and gathering where you did not scatter; so out of fear I went off and buried your talent in the ground. Here it is back.' His mater said to him in reply, 'You wicked, lazy servant! So you knew that I harvest where I did not plant and gather where I did not scatter? Should you not then have put my money in the bank so that I could have got it back with interest on my return? Now then! Take the talent from him and give it to the one with ten. For to everyone who has, more will be given and he will grow rich; but from the one who has not, even what he has will be taken away. And throw this useless servant into the darkness outside, where there will be walling and grinding of teeth.”

Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,

“I call you all My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters who work for Me every day.

In the parable of the talents, you must know that the one who gives the talents is no one else but Me. This means that every person living in this world receives some gifts and they are to use these gifts to make the Kingdom of Heaven grow. The one who received five talents worked very well and was able to get five more talents. This person made great use of the gifts I gave him and the Kingdom of Heaven grew very well. I would say to a person who worked like that these words, 'Come and enter the Kingdom of Heaven.' The one who received two gifts also did very well and he would pleased Me very much. He too would be called into the Kingdom of Heaven.

However, the one who received the one gift did nothing with the gift he received. As it is written 'He buried it in the ground.' This is the person who does not care to do anything with the gift I gave him. He will just throw it away and just go his own way. Well such a person will never enter the Kingdom of Heaven.

So My dear friends, you have all received special gifts such as a good singing voice, a gift of teaching, a gift of prayer to pray for all the sick and those who do not believe. Some receive the gift of healing, some can take care of the sick, the poor and the young. You are to use the gift I gave you and one day I will bring you to the Heavenly Kingdom where all the saints live. I bless you all.”
